This whole thing started back in 2012 after an injury kept me out of the water. I ended up stuck on the beach with a friend’s camera, taking photos of him surfing. Little did I know, I’d instantly fall in love with photography. After that day, I began learning everything I could about cameras from my dad and YouTube, and eventually saved up for my own Sony point-and-shoot.
Fast forward to 2016 — I was able to leave my restaurant job and start creating content full-time. Around that time, I also started experimenting with the video settings on my camera, and that quickly became a part of the process too.
Over the past nine years, I’ve done everything from shooting internal lookbooks for brands like Obey and ASOS, to touring and creating content with companies like Red Bull, Amex, Coca-Cola, and Levi’s — plus producing brand videos and commercials for countless small businesses across the country.
That said, things have definitely shifted for me over the past few years. I’ve really started to focus more on the post-production side after taking an assistant editor position, where I worked closely under a Hollywood editor. In that role, I supported his day-to-day and contributed to projects that eventually aired on Showtime, Apple TV, HBO, and even Netflix.
Overall, I’m incredibly grateful for every opportunity I’ve had so far — and if you’ve got a vision you want to bring to life, reach out and let’s make it happen.
